Dina Dubey

Dina Dubey

Chief Executive Officer

Dina Dubey, Chief Executive Officer at LKC Technologies, leverages her 20 years of experience in the medical device industry to fulfill the mission to preserve vision and quality of life through functional retinal testing.
She most recently served as an advisor to DW Healthcare Partners (DWHP). In this role, she worked with the investment and deal team to identify and conduct diligence on potential M&A targets within the medical device sector.
Previously, she was the Chief Operating Officer of Z-Medica under Teleflex. Post-acquisition, she joined the Teleflex integration management office to oversee the successful integration of Z-Medica into Teleflex.
Prior to the acquisition by Teleflex, Dina was a critical member of the leadership team at Z-Medica. She contributed significantly to the growth and profitability of the organization resulting in successful sale of the organization 3 times in a 10-year period. During her tenure, she collaborated with private equity investors and executive management to establish a value creation plan and execute strategies that led to acquisition of Z-Medica by Teleflex for $500 million in 2020.
Dina began her career at Kensey Nash Corporation (now DSM Biomedical) where she held numerous positions in research and product development, working on advanced biomaterials and regenerative medicine products. Leading cross-functional teams, she has extensive experience in all aspects of medical device development – from concept to launch.
Dina holds a B.S. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and dual M.S. degrees in Engineering Management and Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University. She also completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School. She is an inventor with issued and pending patents and is an author of peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Boris Vasilev

Chief Financial Officer

Boris Vasilev, the Chief Financial Officer at LKC, has spent nearly 2 decades honing his skills in finance and accounting across both public and private companies in the aerospace, retail, polyurethane foam, and print-on-demand sectors. By leading process improvements, systems implementations, and cross-functional projects in multiple roles with increasing responsibilities, Boris has carved a road to success in both day-to-day and strategic initiatives. He is a Certified Public Account, holds an MBA from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Ohio State University. Boris and his family reside in Maryland.

Quentin Davis

Quentin Davis, PhD

Vice President of Research & Development

Quentin Davis, the Vice President of R&D at LKC, is often referred to as “the brains” behind the RETeval® device. Quentin is responsible for the technical aspects of the company’s transformational electroretinography devices, UTASTM and the handheld RETeval and RETevalTM. Prior to joining LKC in 2010, Quentin was involved in immunoassay, biological warfare detection, and in vitro diagnostic device development for 13 years. He held positions as the project and mechanical lead for the M1R electrochemi- luminescence reader for IGEN International, Head of Intellectual Property and Engineering Manager for BioVeris Corporation, and served as Engineering Manager for Wellstat Diagnostics. Quentin is a registered US Patent Agent and is an inventor on 18 US patent applications.
Quentin holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electric Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He lives in Urbana, Maryland, and spends his free time with his wife and four children, including twins! Quentin enjoys engaging his kids with household science projects ranging from solar balloons and icicle makers to windmills and hydroelectric power plants.

Lizabeth Kurjiaka

Lizabeth Kurjiaka

Vice President of Quality & Program Management

Liz Kurjiaka, the VP of Quality & Program Management at LKC, brings a wealth of product development and project management expertise to the LKC team. After completing her BS degree in biomedical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Liz began her career at Boston Scientific as an R&D Design Quality Assurance Engineer. Over the years, she gained broad exposure across regulated industries that include medical devices, drug products and aircraft engines. Her philosophy incorporates practical decision-making, engineering acumen, and critical problem solving to support the development of both products and processes.

Monika Ranta

Vice President of International Sales

Monika Ranta serves as the Vice President of International Sales at LKC Technologies. With more than 25 years of experience in international business and product line management, she possesses a wide knowledge base of ophthalmology devices and has built a strong international network of medical professionals and business partners. Monika is a customer-oriented professional with a track record of enhancing successful product lines, facilitating company growth, and leveraging her robust, collaborative networks to increase global brand recognition. She holds a Master’s degree in Computational Linguistics from Aalto University, speaks six languages, and has studied and lived in more than 3 countries. Monika is based in the EU.

Kristin Turner

Kristin Turner

Vice President of Operations & Customer Support

Kristin Turner is the Vice President of Operations & Customer Support and serves at the front lines for all products at LKC Technologies. She works to develop processes and streamline sales across all product lines in addition to managing quality, personnel, and customer satisfaction efforts. Prior to LKC, Kristin worked in the medical research field where she conducted neurological research on rodents. Kristin holds a BS in Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and resides in Frederick, MD with her husband and 2 young daughters, where she enjoys discovering new places to visit (and most importantly, eat!) with friends and family.

Gail Schwartz

Vice President of Marketing

Gail Schwartz brings nearly 3 decades of healthcare marketing experience to her role as Vice President of Marketing at LKC Technologies. During her 13-year tenure at a boutique marketing firm, Gail developed strategic marketing programs for independent medical practices in various specialties. Her work also spans academic medical centers and large health system organizations where Gail led rebranding efforts in addition to rebuilding a marketing team to serve multiple entities within a large hospital network including physician offices, a philanthropic foundation, and a college of health sciences. Gail lives in south central PA with her significant other and 3 dogs, where she enjoys biking, hiking, and spending time with her 10 grandchildren.

Gary

Gary VanMatre

Vice President of US Sales

Gary VanMatre, the Vice President of US Sales at LKC, first spent a decade opening and operating small businesses before he joined the medical industry with the global medical company, Alcon. He entered the world of diagnostics with MacuLogix during the early days of the company, where Gary first had the distinction of managing all sales in the state of Texas before spearheading the National Accounts program. As the company continued to grow, he became the first Director of Sales and eventually the Vice President of US Sales, overseeing the entire sales department. In May of 2022, Gary came on board at LKC Technologies and was ecstatic to have 8 of his trusted colleagues from MacuLogix join him in bringing accessible, portable ERG testing to the optometric market. Gary holds a BS degree in Psychology from Chapman University in Orange, California.
